Curtis Mabry, 83, of Evansville passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013, at his residence.
Curtis was born June 22, 1929, in Clay, Ky., to Fred and Annie (Edens) Mabry. He served in the United States Army Air Corps. Curtis retired from sales at Sears, and then J.C. Penney. He taught Men's Bible Classes for 50 years and was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Betty (Maynard) Mabry; daughter, Lynn Stroud (Gerald) and son, Brian Mabry, all of Evansville; grandson, David Mitchell (Jill); and 2 great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Levi Mitchell, all of Godfrey, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister; and a brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., service time, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
