Donel L. Brazelton

Donel L. Brazelton, 82, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at VNA Charlier Hospice. He was born June 13, 1933, in Evansville, to the late Doris and Minnie (Carr) Brazelton.
He retired from Bristol Myers and was an army veteran. He was a 33rd degree Mason and a member of Evansville Lodge #64, the Hadi Shriners, and a longtime member of Zoar U.C.C. Don was a diehard Cardinals fan, enjoyed Indiana basketball, and followed the Aces and Indianapolis Colts. He also loved the Indianapolis 500. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his wife, Margaret, in the R.V. and wintering in Florida.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Mohr).
He is survived by his; son, Dwayne (Tracy) Brazelton; brothers, Charles (Jean) and John (Brenda) Brazelton; sisters-in-law, Clara Johnson and Suzie (Terrell) Harmon; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Bernhardt, with private entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 2 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic service held at 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
