Eloise (VanWinkle) Heitzman, 98, of Evansville, passed away at 4:25 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Ind.
Eloise was born October 28, 1914, to Cyrus and Cordie (Fenn) VanWinkle in Bristow, Ind. She was a member of Washington Avenue Church of Christ. She retired from Bristol Myers in 1977 after 23 years of service. Following retirement, Eloise enjoyed traveling, quilt making and going to rummage sales.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Sills (Cecil), of Evansville, Ind; her son, Carl Goad (Joan), of Lebanon, Tenn; grandchildren, Philip Goad (Marla), Gretchen Boje and Rodney Sills (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Kayla and Preston Goad and Isaac and Caleb Sills; sister, Virginia Taynton; and sister-in-law, Lilly VanWinkle.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Goad; two small children, Carol June and Daniel Ray Goad; second husband, O.H. "Speck" Heitzman; sister, Vivian Albin; and brothers, Eugene, Earl, and Lee VanWinkle.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Stephen Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Bristow Cemetery, Bristow, Ind.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
