Ethel Marie Heilman
Evansville, Ind.
Ethel Marie Heilman, 73, of Evansville, passed away at 9:38 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. God is richer as he gained, and the earth lost, an angel.
Ethel was born November 18, 1940, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of the late George and Marceline Bauer. She was a graduate of St. Rose Academy in Vincennes and of Tri-State Beauty College in Evansville. Ethel had worked as an accountant for Bucyrus Erie and as a hairdresser for Gimble Bond Hair Salon and Jackie's Hair Care Barn. She was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and past Den Mother and Cub Master of Cub Scout Pack 312. Ethel had also attended Nativity Catholic Church. She loved running, dancing and singing. She sacrificed her life to raise her family and grandson. Those who knew her were blessed. Ethel was a sweet, proud yet humble woman, who never asked for anything for herself. She will receive her rewards in heavenly blessings.
She is survived by son, Jason Heilman, of Evansville; grandson, Stephen Heilman, of Evansville; sisters, Theresa Barebo (Charles), of Emmaus, PA, Judy Ruppel (Robert), of Evansville, Charlotte Keeton (Bo), of Louin, MS, Sheila Cornwell (Bill), of Lawrenceville, IL, and Marcie Cummings (Wayne), of Vincennes, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
