Gene Tevault, 83, of Evansville passed away at 7:30 am, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center.
Gene was born June 17, 1929 in Lynnville, Indiana the son of Walter and Rosalie (Christmas) Tevault. He attended Bosse High School and Evansville College. He was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Gene was a veteran of the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Midway 1951-1952. He was the vice president of Rogers Group Asphalt Construction and was past president of the Indiana Asphalt Paving Association.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joyce (Yates) Tevault of Evansville, daughters, Karen (Donnie) Blume and Kim (Chris) Weil, all of Evansville, sister, Jo Ann Smith of Evansville, brothers, David Tevault of Evansville and Dick Tevault (Ida Mae) of Washington, grandchildren, Erika and Keaton Weil and Bret Buickel and step grandchild, Lisa Ringham. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin Tevault in 1979, brother, Jack Tevault and sister, Carol Kastner.
A Service of Witness to the resurrection will be held at 11 am, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 5501 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Dr. Dennis Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 7 pm, Friday, November 2, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel, 5330 Washington, Evansville and again from 10 am until time of service at 11 am at the church, Saturday.
