New Harmony, Ind.
On Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013, after 84 years of celebrating life on earth, JC Egli, has gone to spend eternity with his Lord.
JC found joy and wonder in the outdoors and enjoyed sharing his passion with family and friends. Whether it was a simple walk through the streets of New Harmony or a hike through the mountains, he found happiness in the beauty that surrounded him. He lived a life that combined strength and grace and will continue to be an inspiration to those who knew and loved him.
First and foremost JC was a devout husband, wonderful father and inspiring grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and champion for many, many just causes. During his lifetime, JC also attended Centennial Elementary School and graduated from Reitz High School. He attended Evansville College and completed the Dale Carnegie Business Course. JC retired from Mead Johnson after 38 years of dedicated service. In retirement JC enjoyed working at Clearcrest Pines Golf Course in the pro shop with many other former Mead Johnson colleagues.
He is living on through his wife of 63 years, Bernie, his four sons and daughters-in-law Stan and Becky, Mark and Jenny, Craig and Lauri, and Gary as well as 14 grandchildren Heather, Andrea, Brad, Scott, Bryan, Kevin, Holly, Mindy, Sara, Katie, Seth, Sean, Megan and Jamie, 23 great grandchildren, and a great- great granddaughter.
Family, friends and acquaintances are invited to a gathering to celebrate the life of JC at the Barn Abbey in the town of New Harmony on Sunday, May 5th from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
Contributions in honor of JC may be made to Friends of Harmonie State Park, PO Box 217, New Harmony, IN 47631, Phone: 812-682-4821.
