Boonville, IN.

James W. (Jim) Miller, Sr., passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home in Boonville. He was born February 24, 1930 in Greencastle, IN. to Leonard H. and Anna Vernaine (Wirick) Miller. Jim was in the retail business and for the last 55 years was owner of Miller's 5 & 10 on the Boonville Square.
He was a graduate of Boonville High School and Indiana University where he was a member of the Marching 100 and Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity. He served in the United States Marine Corps. and was a member of VFW Post #3418, American Legion Post #200, Boonville Elks Lodge #1180, the Masonic Lodge #240, Hadi Shrine, Boonville Merchants Association and Main Street United Methodist Church.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John M. (Jack) Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Gale), daughter, Gale Ann Campbell (David) of Newburgh; son, James W. Jr. (Tammy) of Boonville; grandchildren, J.D. Campbell (Jenny) of Odenton, MD, Emily Boyd (Michael) of Rockport, Jeremy Miller (Erin) of Saline, MI, Jennifer Reiter (Tommy) of Ellettsville, IN., and Christopher Titzer of New York, NY; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel with an American Legion Walkthru at 7:00 PM Sunday.
Graveside services will be held at 10 am Monday July 15, 2013 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville with military rites by the Warrick County Veterans Memorial Services. Friends are to meet at the cemetery Monday.
