Kristopher Keith "Roughcut" Hunt, age 45, of Golden, Illinois, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012, in rural Adams County, Illinois.
He was born August 12, 1967, in Princeton, Indiana, the son of Keith A. and Vickie Elaine Wiseman Hunt. He married Christina K. Crooks on November 22, 1997, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling and she survives.
Mr. Hunt worked for Dot Foods in Mt. Sterling as a refrigerator mechanic for the last 13 years. Earlier in life he worked for Triad Mining.
He graduated from Pike Central High School in Petersburg, Indiana, with the class of 1985. He then graduated from Vincennes University in 2007, with an Associate of Science Degree.
Mr. Hunt was a member of the First Christian Church in Camp Point.
Kristopher was a volunteer fireman for both the Mt. Sterling and Golden Fire Departments. He was a member of the Two Rivers Jeep Club and always enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Christina K. Hunt, of Golden, Illinois; three children, Kiley, Lance and Alexis Hunt, all at home; father and stepmother, Keith and Pat Hunt, of Conelton, Indiana; his mother and stepfather, Vickie and Floyd Legg, of Corydon, Indiana; three half brothers, Nick Eversoll, of Atlanta, Georgia, Alex Eversoll, of Kentucky, and Michael Hunt, of Evansville, Indiana; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harlan and Sylvia Passley, of La Prairie, Illinois, also survive along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012, in the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling, with Rev. Brien Sims officiating.
Burial will be in the Mounds Cemetery near Timewell, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to his children's education fund.
