Larry William Staser
Evansville, Ind.
Larry William Staser, 69, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Larry was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 13, 1943 to the late Otis Lawrence and Martha Elizabeth (Weatherholt) Staser.
Larry attended Bosse High School then joined the United States Navy where he served for four years. He was employed at Whirlpool Corporation. Larry then became a horse trainer, owning and racing his horses at Ellis Park and throughout the country. He finished his career at Eagles Country Club where he was manager, retiring in 2010 after 15 years of service.
Larry is survived by his sisters, Marsha Derrington (Stan) of Evansville, IN, Sandra Riley (Larry) of Haymarket, VA; nephews, Keith Fisher of Evansville, IN, Tim Riley and a niece, Laura Bushnell both of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Indiana 47711. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home.
