Leonard Kuhn
Mount Vernon, Ind.
Leonard L. Kuhn, 80, passed away on August 9, 2013, at the Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Ind. He was born January 15, 1933, the son of Joseph and Janie (Erwin) Kuhn.
He was a member of St. Mathew Church. He served in the United States Army for two years, stationed in Salzburg, Austria. He was employed at the Mt. Vernon Fire Department serving twenty-three and a half years. After retiring he was a self-employed electrician.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Una (Weatherford) Kuhn; son, Michael (Leesa) Kuhn; daughter, Joni (Chris) Hargett; six grandchildren, Justin Kuhn, of Evansville, Joey Hargett, of Mt. Vernon, Mitchell Kuhn, of Poseyville, Josh Ricker, of Poseyville, Leslie and Tyler Ricker, of St. Louis; and brother, Paul (Betty) Kuhn, of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half sister, Octavia Mann; brother, John Kuhn; three half brothers, Alfred "Hap" Wilson and Charlie Wilson, and Joseph "Bud" Kuhn Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., in Mt. Vernon, with burial to follow at Bellefontaine Cemetery
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He will be truly missed by family, friends, and especially at closing time at Bud's Hardware.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mathew Church or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
