Louise "Mimi" Duckworth, 90 of Evansville passed away: at 6:40 pm, Sunday, February 2, 2014 at VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center.

Louise was born June 2, 1923 in McHenry, Kentucky the daughter of James Leach and Uva (Ashby) Phelps. Louise and Joseph were married November 6, 1955. She was a member of American Baptist East/LifeLifters. Mimi was an avid homemaker and former employee of Whirlpool (Ordinance plant). She was the proclaimed "Mayor of Southeast Boulevard" by Mayor Lloyd, Jr. She will always be remembered by her family and neighbors for the many meals and snacks she provided when they visited. Her legacy will live on with the memories of the overnight stay overs and all the ballgames and swim meets she attended. Mimi will forever be in our hearts and missed greatly.
She is survived by daughters, Robin Duckworth, Charlotte Mellott and Sandra Yeager (Robert) all of Evansville; sons, Mike Duckworth, Sr. (Traci), James Warren, of Evansville and Rick Warren (Karen) of Carmel, IN; stepson, Jerry Duckworth (Pat) of Evansville; sister-in-law, Peggy Duckworth of KY; brother, James "Sonny" Leach (Mary Jane) of Fordsville, KY; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Joseph Duckworth, Jr. in 2011, stepson, Richard Duckworth in 1975, grandson, Jay Russell Warren in 1982, brother-in-law, John Duckworth in 2004 and sister, Sue McLaughlin in 2011

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at American Baptist East Church, 6300 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN with Pastor Jeff Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 7 pm, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel. Visitation again from 10 am until time of service on Thursday at the church.
