Mary Nell Bean, age 76, of Smith Mills, KY, passed away at 3:11 AM, Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Methodist Hospital in Union County.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Bean, parents William "Bill" and Monnie May Turley, and one brother Robert Turley.

Mary loved caring for other people. She was constantly cutting out articles from the paper about people she knew or advice she could give someone. She loved tending to her garden, roses were her favorite flower. Mary's banana pudding, pies and cakes were famous within her family. She enjoyed collecting knick knacks her favorites being clocks and angels. Mary never passed up a rummage sale. She taught herself to play the piano, and enjoyed playing frequently.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Life Celebration from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2013 and again on Wednesday starting at 9:00 AM until service time at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home with the Reverend Jason Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
