Morgan E. "Paps" Kemp, 83, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2013 at his home. He was born December 16, 1929 in Owensboro, KY to Dutzel and Minnie Lee (Crowe) Kemp.
As Morgan's soul was lifted to heaven, he was surrounded by many loved ones. Morgan had a unique sense of humor, he could always make light of any situation. He enjoyed gathering his family together and sharing his stories of "Avondale Adventures".
Morgan drove for Consolidated Freightways for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He attended Cathedral of Praise.
Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Cole) Kemp in 2006 and son, Eugene "Buster" Kemp in 2013.
He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Foster, Teresa Merritt (Ed) and Pamela Meyer (Rick) all of Evansville; grandchildren, Eugene Kemp, Wendy Hildenbrandt, Larry Foster, Thomas Foster, Tina Blankenship, Joey Merritt, Valerie Halsema, Rickie Meyer and Betty Jo Meyer; 17 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers, Donald and William Kemp; sister, Japonia Kemp and very caring nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday July 25, 2013 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Friday July 26, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Bret Myers officiating.
Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery.
