Neal W. Bristow
Evansville, Ind.
Neal W. Bristow, 84, of Evansville, passed away at 8:39 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital.
Neal was born February 1, 1929 in Evansville, the son of Grover and LaVerna (Johnson) Bristow. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of American Legion Post #265. Neal attended Bethel Church. He retired from Welborn Clinic where he had worked in plant operations.
He is survived by daughters, Lauren "Jeannie" Moeder (John), of Indianapolis, Ind., and Nyla Simmons (Harlan), of Evansville; sister, Charlene Broomhall (Bill), of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, twins James Sparks (Sherry) and Rachel Burton, and twins, Matthew Simmons and Marcus Simmons; great-grandchildren, James Willis, Olivia Sparks and Aniken Burton; nieces and nephews, Barbara Elmore (Ralph), William Fisher (Kay) and Bonnie Thompson (Larry) and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Gertrude Bristow in 1995; and sister, Rachel Altheide in 2008.
Services and burial will be private.
