Paul J. English, 87, of Evansville, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Paul was born March 15, 1926 in Petersburg, Ind., the son of Paul T. and Edith T. (Tharp) English. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during WWII. Paul was a member of North Friendship General Baptist Church in Lynnville, Ind., where he was a greeter and usher. He retired from EVSC after 30 years of service in the maintenance department.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Constance (Cole) English, of Evansville; daughters, Carole Faye (Steven) Alexander, of Newburgh, Ind., and Vicki Lynn (Stephen) Moore, of Ft. Branch, Ind.; sons, Steven Ray English, of Evansville, Gary Wayne (Bonnie) English, of St. Charles, Mo., and David Allen English, of Franklin, N.C.; grandchildren, Krista (Chuck) DeLattre, Karin (Harry) Martinek, Jason (Shelia) Moore, Matthew Moore, Brian (Heather) English, Traci (Dan) Montgomery, DeWayne (Julie) English, Scott (Tricia) English, Kevin (Amy) English, Amber English and Andrew English; 16 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at noon Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will perform full military rites.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
