Randall Lindley Rohn, beloved husband and cherished father, 59, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Statesville, NC.
Randy was born March 8, 1954 in Alexandria, Indiana to Dr. Ralph D. Rohn and Jacqueline Rohn. He was a graduate of Northwestern University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film as well as a Master of Science in Advertising. Randy was the Creative Communications Director at Midan Marketing in Statesville, NC. Previously he was a highly successful creative director, having worked at Keller Crescent Advertising in Evansville, Indiana as well as DDB Needham and Leo Burnett, both in Chicago, Illinois. He has received over 600 local and international advertising awards. Randy was also an author of mystery stories, and had published a novel, Hang on Sloopy. Randy was a rock and roll soul who loved good mystery novels and thick steaks. He loved The Beatles, he loved reading and watching movies, and he loved dachshunds, especially his faithful dog Ringo. But most of all, he loved his family.
Randy is survived by his devoted wife, Linda, and his adoring children, Kristin and Kurt. He is also survived by his parents, Dan and Jackie Rohn, his sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Rick Cianflone, his nephews Dan and Greg Bruhl, his wife's relatives from the Malmberg family, and his godson, Zack Cokas
Services will be held at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 on Thursday, April 25. The visitation will be at 2 pm and the memorial service will occur at 3 pm.
