Robert Sullivan, 51, passed away on November 16, 2012, at his home in Addison, Texas.
Robert was born on November 19, 1960, in Clarksville, Tenn., to Anne and Richard Sullivan.
He attended Plaza Middle School and Harrison High School. At Harrison he participated in football, track and wrestling. Robert graduated from the Indiana University Kelly School of Business in 1984.
For almost 20 years Robert owned and operated Bicycle World shop in Evansville. Robert was active in buying import goods from china. On a trip to China he met a marketing agent who would later become his wife. Robert and Elizabeth recently returned from China to Dallas, Texas. Robert worked with Dicks Sporting Goods.
Robert was active with his church in Carrollton, Texas. He enjoyed biking, viewing action movies from his extensive DVD collection. He enjoyed archery and assisted in forming the Archery Club at IU. He was very active in keeping touch with his family, especially his late mother, Anne.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Anne; grandparents, Ida Barron, James Jones and John Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; stepson, John Hao; father, Richard Sullivan; brother, Dennis Sullivan and his wife, Candy; grandmother, Elizabeth Jones; uncles, Bobby Frank Sullivan, and his wife Hilda, James Jones and Marvin Jones; nieces, Erin and Kendall Sullivan.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714. Visitation will continue on Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at the funeral home with Rev. Lynn Renne officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church 1101 S. Broadway, #120, Carrollton, TX 75006.
