Ronald L. Koch, 64, of Elberfeld, IN passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born August 3, 1948 in Evansville, IN to Leo Edward and Bernice Ann (Wolf) Koch.
Ron was a Boy Scout, played football and became a St. Louis Cardinal fan, at an early age. He graduated from Rex Mundi High School and attended ISUE. Ron was happily married to Deloris (Robinson) Koch, originally from Rockport, KY for over 30 years. After 27 years, he retired from Robur Corporation, formerly ARKLA, where he was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. Ron was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Ron was an avid outdoorsman and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed traveling and being a grandfather.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris; son, Chad E. Koch of Evansville; brother, Paul Koch of Mt. Vernon, IL; granddaughter, Madelyn Koch; step granddaughter, Morgan Elliott; nephews, Kraig and Eddie Koch; uncle, Nicholas Wolf; aunt, Dorothy Martin and numerous cousins. He will also be missed by his in-laws, Lola and Rayburn Robinson and their extended Kentucky family.
Visitation will be from 1:00 - 4:00 pm Saturday July 20, 2013 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Peck Axton officiating.
