Ronald Pollard, 84, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at Perry County Mmeorial Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1929, to the late Elva Wheatley and Lincoln Pollard.
He worked for General Electric for 30 years, retiring in 1969. He was married to Athleen Jones on June 25, 1949. Ronnie was a member of Bass Fisherman's Hall of Fame, Ducks Unlimited and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Athleen Pollard, of Tell City; sons, Alan Palmer and wife, Peggy, of Grand Forks, N.D., and Regis Palmer and wife, Llolanda, of New Harmony, Ind.; sisters, Alice Fendley, of Indianapolis, and Mollie Miles, of Tell City; grandchildren, Shannon (Mike) Reed, Regis (Becky) Palmer, Alison (Shawn) Beckner and Randy Palmer; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Beckner and Malliyah Reed.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Pollard; and a sister, Lorene Miles.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Duane Price will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. and Monday 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral Home.
