Sue Montgomery, 68 of Newburgh passed away at 10:15 am, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at her home.
Sue was born November 18, 1944 in Vincennes, Indiana the daughter of John and Wilma (Dunning) Waldrop. She was a 24 year member of Crossroads Christian Church. Sue had worked as a clerk for Warrick National Bank and Old National Bank before retiring in 2008. Sue loved spending time with her family and cherished her many friends from Daughters of the King Bible Study, Supper Club, Prime Timers, and Bunco. Many close personal friends were part of her "family". Sue was a stranger to no one and gave sacrificially from her kind and generous heart.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Richard Allen Montgomery, children, Lori Ann Steinkuhl (Kevin), Sara Elizabeth Mejia (Gilbert) and Justin Richard Montgomery (Cara Claycomb), siblings, Shirley A. Hill, J. Ronald Waldrop (Jeanniene) and Randall L. Waldrop (Carol) and grandchildren, Claire Steinkuhl, Kile and Noah Montgomery and Jordan and Jacob Mejia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, James L. Hill.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Crossroads Christian Church, 10800 Lincoln Ave., Newburgh with Pastor Denny Stevenson, Pastor Rod Hoschouer and Pastor Dallas Majewski officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 8 pm, Monday, May 13, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville and again from 9 am until time of service at 10 am, Tuesday at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Rising Sun Christian Church, RR 2 Box 284A, Lawrenceville, IL 62439.
