Thomas Conway
Evansville, Ind.
Thomas Conway, 91, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center.
Thomas was born in Blackford, Kentucky on July 1, 1921 to Joseph and Gertrude Conway. He served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. Thomas married Esther Shofner in November of 1947. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation in December of 1983. After retirement, he worked along with his wife for many years as a Motor Coach Tour Manager for AAA of Southern Indiana. He was a long time member of Crossroads Christian Church.
Thomas is survived by:
Wife of 65 years, Esther Conway, Daughter, Ruth Ann (Conway) Hall and her husband, Brad, Grandchildren, Shawn Hall, Bridget (Hall) Wilson and her husband, Drew, Great-Grandson, Lucas Michael Wilson, Step Great Granddaughter, Katelynn Rhodes, nieces and nephews
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dennis, Bonnie, Bill and Jack, sisters, Barbara Sue, Amy and Bobbie.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, March 4, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN.
