Valeria M. (Rexing) Elpers
Evansville, Indiana
91, of Evansville, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at The Heritage Center. She was born on October 21, 1921 to Aloyious and Cecile (Kissel) Rexing.
She retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, working in the cafeteria at Stringtown School.
Valeria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, St. James Altar Society, and St. Ann's Knights at St. Wendell.
She is survived by daughters, Carolyn C. Titzer (Harold) of Evansville, Rosemary M. Blaize (David), Barbara Jean Spear (Bob), Debbie Givens (Glenn), sons Flavien Elpers (Kathy), Eugene Elpers (Earlene), Sylverius Elpers, Jr., all of Evansville, sister, Marylee Knapp of Evansville, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylverius J. Elpers, Sr., in 2012.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 First Ave., Evansville where a memorial service will at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. James Catholic Church, 12300 S. 50W, Haubstadt, IN from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Father Kenneth Betz officiating.
Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
