Vernon E. Edmonds 91, of 609 West Fifth Street; Livermore, Kentucky died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at a son's home in Livermore. Vernon Elwood Edmonds was born November 18, 1921 in Island, Kentucky to the late Martin and Jessie Bolton Edmonds and was married to the former Margaret Ovela Stogner on March 30, 1943. Vernon was a retired concrete finisher from Local # 566 of Evansville, a member of the Methodist Faith, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Edmonds, who died March 22, 1992.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, David and Deanna Edmonds of Livermore and Dewayne and Debbie Edmonds of Anthony, Florida; a daughter and her husband, Jane and Guy Troutman of Hartford; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Bobby Edmonds of Island; and a sister, Lillian "Sis" Hope of Island.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Halqua Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Vernon's Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday and from 10:30 A.M. until time of services Saturday at Musters in Livermore.
