Boonville, Ind.
Wesley G. Hodges, 60, of Evansville, formerly of Boonville passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at his home.
He was born December 28, 1952 in Evansville, IN to the late Harold and Doris (Kirby) Hodges.
He graduated from Boonville High School, Oakland City University and Indiana State University. He taught at Rockport Elementary, Stanley Switlik Elementary and retired from Poinciana Elementary. He was a principal at Orleans Elementary, Lawrenceburg Elementary, and Pine Ridge Elementary.
Wesley is survived by his daughter Heather Hodges Jones, Boonville; two brothers Tom Hodges and wife Anita, of Cosby, Tennessee; Ed Hodges and wife Barbara, of Evansville; his nephews Bobby Hodges, Patrick Hodges; and nieces Cassidy Hodges, Jessica Hodges Williams. Wesley also leaves behind special friends: Glen Porter, Sarah Hodges, Shirley Hicks, Chad Hayden, and Paul Graham.
He was a member of Gentryville Lodge No. 424, Elinor Markle Memorial Court No.14, Order of the Amaranth, and Bethlehem Shrine No.2 White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Wesley was a member of Indiana State Teachers Association, National Education Association, Florida Education Association, American Federation of Teachers, and Monroe County Education Association.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, February 19th at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel. Masonic Service will be held at 7:00pm. There will be visitation from 12:00pm until 2:00pm Wednesday, February 20th.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, February 20th, at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with Pastor David Rinehart and Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Graveside service to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
