William Cave Brenner, III, 91 of Evansville passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Good Samaritan Home after a short illness.
Bill was born February 17, 1921, in Evansville. He attended Benjamin Bosse High School and was a graduate of Bramwell's Business College of Evansville. He attended Central United Methodist Church for many years and was a regular attendee of the Wednesday Friends Group. His many friends from Central Methodist share his family's loss. Bill served his country during World War II in the Philippine Islands as a member of the Army Air Corp. He was acknowledged by his business associates as the Tri-State expert on the repair and refurbishment of vintage pinball and jukebox machines. He was still working at his trade until his recent illness.
He is survived by his daughter, Jo Ann Jasper and her husband Larry Robert, of Eastham, Mass, his daughter-in-law, Denise (Lone) Brenner of Francisco, Indiana, grandson, William Robert Brenner of Evansville, granddaughter, Sarah Ann Brenner of Portland, Oregon, brother-in-law, Harold Shoulders and his wife, Jeanne of Evansville, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal L. (Shoulders) Brenner, in February, 2007, his sister, Mary (Brenner) Crawford, in July 2008, and his son, John David Brenner, in February, 2009.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Boone Funeral Home-East Chapel and again from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m., Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Boone Funeral Home-East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Nancy Reid, Director of Family Ministries, presiding. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
