Otto L. Moran, Jr., 87, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville, IN. He was born September 20, 1923 in Marion, Kentucky.
He served in the army during the Korean War and was a MP in the Air Force during World War II. Otto worked as a foreman at Whirlpool Corporation for 40 years before retiring to Sarasota, Florida, where he enjoyed golfing. He moved back to Evansville in 2000.
Otto was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Maxine, and a son Robert, an honored Vietnam Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his son, Michael Moran (Vicki) of Evansville, grandchildren, Michael Moran (Lisa) of Carmel, Indiana, Ben Moran (Kathleen) of Chicago, Illinois, Noah Moran (fiance Sarah) of Davenport, Iowa. Rob Moran (Robyn) of Baltimore, Maryland, Melissa Holden (Jason) of Newport Richey, Florida, and great-grandchildren, Kirin, Luke, Avery, Casey, Logan, and Neve.
A memorial service will be held at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00PM.
