Lois A. Maday
82, of Evansville, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 6, 1932 to Ray and Lucille (Bassmeier) Murphy.
Lois retired from Sears in the Parts and Service Department in 1996. She was a member for 49 years of Beta Sigma Phi Xi Epsilon Epsilon Chapter, and a member of St. Benedict Cathedral. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed working with flowers and gardening.
She is survived by daughter, Teresa Latham, sons Bill Maday (Carol), Mike Maday (Nancy) and Paul Maday, all of Evansville, brother Ray Murphy (RoseAnne) of Evansville and sister Doris Laine (Jack) of Punta Gorda, FL, grandchildren, Deborah Klein, Bob, Beth and Matt Latham, Jason Maday, Ashley Scott, Angie Noble, Megan Goff, Louella, Manda, and Christine Maday, Justin, Megan and Ali Klein, Jacob and Micheala Latham, great grandchildren, Destany, Ethan and Makaila Goff, Brittany, Tiffany and David Noble, and Jaden Latham, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Paul S. Maday.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral will begin Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
