Marian F. (Small) Borries, age 87, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, April 01, 2014 at the West River Health Campus.
Mrs. Borries was a homemaker and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a 1945 graduate of Memorial High School, an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and dog lover and the President of the Resident's Council at West River.
Surviving Marian are her daughter, Christine Borries of Evansville; two sons, Thomas (Debbie) Borries of St. Philip, IN and Jim Borries of Evansville; three grandchildren, Amy Borries Wilson, Paul Borries and Blair Borries and 8 great grandchildren, Jake, Dane and Cole Wilson, Brody, Bayley and Brittan Borries and Oliver and Iris Borries.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Frank C. Borries in 2010.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Pierre Funeral Home, continuing with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society, 400 Millner Industrial Drive, Evansville, IN 47710 or to the Borries Family Endowment, c/o Mater Dei High School, 1300 Harmony Way, Evansville, IN 47720.
The family would like to thank the staff of West River Health Campus for their compassionate care and love extended to Marian during her stay there.
