Neil Ray Black passed away in the comfort of his home the morning of Saturday, April 5, 2014.
He took great pride in building pole barns and a large loving family. He worked as a carpenter for 47 years; he owned and operated Neil Black Construction in partnership with Warrick County Co-Op. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and spending time with his family.
Neil was born December 29, 1944 to Lee and Ella Black of Tennyson. He married Delene Weyerbacher nearly 49 years ago in April 1965. Together, they built a home for four children and ten grandchildren: Allen (son) and Connie Black of Boonville, Angie (daughter) and Wade Beavers of Boonville, Gary (son) Black and Donna Wimber (fiancée) of Evansville and Eric Black (son) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob, Zachary and Kaylee (fiancée), Austin, Morgan, Darin, Breanna, Alexis, Logan and Jaden.
Visitation will be at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel on Monday April 7 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8 at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with burial at Plainview Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may call Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
