Mary Rose (Weinzapfel) Naab, age 90, of Fishers, IN, formerly of Vincennes and St. Philip, IN, passed away Monday, April 07, 2014 at the St. Vincent Hospice Center in Indianapolis.
Mary Rose was born May 28, 1923 to the late Alois and Mary (Humpert) Weinzapfel in Evansville. She retired from the state of Indiana. She was very active in the Knights of Columbus and various other organizations. She enjoyed her time in Florida and spending time with her family and friends. She exemplified everything that is good about life and we will miss her joyful outlook about the important things.
Surviving are three sons, Roger Naab of Indianapolis, IN, Larry (Susan) Naab of McCordsville, IN and Mark (Susan) Naab of Fishers, IN; a brother, Pete (Eileen) Weinzapfel of St. Philip; seven grandchildren, Ryan Naab, Kristy Slover, Brian Naab, Michael Naab, Ashley Cramer, Patrice Naab and Joel Naab and eight great grandchildren.
Mary Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Naab in 1963 and by five brothers, Tony Weinzapfel, Bernard "Fats" Weinzapfel, Joe Weinzapfel, Mac Weinzapfel and Simon Weinzapfel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Bernard Etienne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Shrine of St. Jude, St. Jude League, 205 W. Monroe, Chicago, IL 60600.
