William 'Bill' Gene Paddock
Evansville, Ind.
William "Bill" Gene Paddock, 66, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Bill was born in Harrisburg, Illinois, on November 9, 1947, to Jerry and Naomi Ruth (Rose) Paddock. Bill was a man of faith believing in Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He was a 1965 graduate of Bosse High School. Bill worked for Koch Label Company for over 32 years. Bowling was truly his passion and later, Bill worked for Arc Lanes as the assistant manager. Bill bowled in tournaments and founded the Youth All Stars Bowling Tournament in Evansville. Teaching and helping young people with their bowling games was great source of joy for Bill. Throughout his life, Bill was an avid supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals and I.U. Basketball.
Bill is survived by his companion, Marilyn DeWitt, of Evansville, IN; daughters, Darla (Scott) Vote, of Newburgh, IN, and Ruth (Dan) Crawford, of Mt. Vernon, IN; son, William "Bill" Gene Paddock, II of Newburgh, IN; his mother, Naomi Ruth (Rose) Paddock, of Evansville, IN; sister, Rosemary (Gene) Lloyd, of Evansville, IN; brother, Jerry (Faye) Paddock, of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Claudia Crawford, Olivia Paddock, Meredith Crawford and Allison Paddock.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Paddock, January 1, 1997.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Martin Nolan officiating. Burial will be private on Monday at Cave Hill Cemetery in Cave in Rock, Illinois.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until service time on Saturday at Browning Funeral Home.
