Savannah 'Sue' Leascher Crawford
Evansville, Ind.
Savannah "Sue" Leascher Crawford, 93, of Evansville, passed away at 10:22 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at New Willow Manor, Vincennes, IN.
Savannah was born February 3, 1921, in Henderson, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillie (Watson) Leascher. She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. She retired in 1979, after 40 years as an executive secretary. She will be deeply missed by her family, church family and many loving friends.
She is survived by daughter in fact, Linda Covert-Biggs (Richard), of Vincennes, IN; and stepgrandchildren, Michael W. Gootee, Leslie N. Gootee and Robin Gootee-McDowell.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Harry L. Crawford; sister, Mary Leascher-Heal; and two brothers, William and Douglas Leascher.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Reverend Robert Nall officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
