Gladys Eileen Wozniak Carson, 84 passed away April 23, 2014, in Evansville, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Billy A. Wozniak, and second husband, Homer L. Carson, 5 years, her eldest daughter, Julie Keller and one grandson, Jason Keller.
She leaves behind two sons, Billy E. and John D. Wozniak, both of Boswell, IN., and two daughters, Teri (Dennis) Ritchie, of Sardis, OH, and Jeanne (Mark) Rohrer, of Evansville, IN.
She had (16) grand & step-grandchildren and (10) great grandchildren. Her local survivors also include John Oberg, his son Dylan, Jamie Oberg, and Justin Rohrer.
Gladys Eileen was born with a servant's heart. In her Bible were many underlined scriptures referencing "love and giving of oneself to those in need." Her deep unconditional love and patience for family and others she cared for will be sadly missed. She left an impression with everyone she met that they were loved, they mattered, and they were appreciated. Always the encourager, her twinkling blue eyes, warm smile, her laugh, always quick with a joke to make others laugh, her love of music and dancing, her knack for making people feel good, important, and welcomed, will live in our memories.
Her daughter, Jeanne, wishes to thank Dr. Aziz Mehrzad, and staff, of Deaconess Primary Care and the entire staff of The Heritage Nursing Center for giving many years of special and attentive care to her precious mother, as well as, recent care from the Heritage Hospice Center. Services were held in Woodsfield, OH. Condolences may be made online at www.
