Wilhelmina L. Weisling
Wilhemina L. "Minnie" (Burgdorf) Weisling, age 97, of Evansville, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Heritage Center.
Minnie had attended St. Lucas United Church of Christ. She had worked for Zenith Corporation for over 25 years before retiring. Minnie loved quilting, fishing and flower gardening.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice Winiger, of Evansville, Linda (Mike) Yancey, of Poseyville, and Arbutus "Boots" (George) Swallows, of Evansville; her identical twin sister, Helen Schreiber, of Evansville; a very special great-niece who Minnie treated like her own granddaughter, Pam Jenkins; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and a very special friend, Pat Compton.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, George Weisling in 1993; her son-in-law, Bill Winiger; four sisters; five brothers; and three grandsons.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 until 6 p.m. on Sunday and from noon until service time on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
