Nancy (Dempsey) Irick
Evansville, Ind.
Nancy (Dempsey) Irick, 69, of Evansville, passed away at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at JFK Hospital in Atlantis, Florida.
Nancy was born June 23, 1944, in Nashville, TN, to the late John Burton and Dorothy (Bonner) Dempsey. She retired from Good Samaritan Home as an activities director in the Alzheimer's Unit. Nancy was a registered EMT. She enjoyed dog-training, horse-back riding, camping and gardening. Nancy was a member of Bethel Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Edward; daughter, Stephanie Rausch (Darwin), both of Evansville, son, David Irick (Carol), of Mt. Vernon, IN; sister, Dorothy Ketola (Bill), of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Morgan, Connor and Aaron Rausch and Sydney, Quincy and Zachary Irick; niece, Linda Bender (Don); nephew, Steve Ketola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jack Dempsey.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Reverend Tony Green officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 until 7 p.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, and again from 8:30 a.m. until time of service at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
Memorial Contributions may be made to and Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
