Patricia 'Patty' Sorensen
Evansville, Ind.
Patricia "Patty" Carol (Cleveland) Sorensen, 53, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati Ohio.
Patty was born in Evansville, Indiana, on February 12, 1961, the late to Patrick and Carol (Donner) Cleveland. She worked for several insurance agencies, including owning her own, Patty Sorensen Insurance but more recently worked at Heston Insurance Agency. Patty was a CASA volunteer, a loving wife, mother and sister. Although she loved her friends and her entire family, Patty's health in recent years limited her ability to spend time with them. She enjoyed Toby Keith's music, horse racing, going to the beach, riverboat gambling and going to Tunica, Mississippi. Patty also loved her dog, Sasha.
Patty is survived by her husband of 31 years, Philip A. Sorensen, of Evansville, IN; daughter, Danielle Buttrum, of Evansville, IN; son, Adam Sorensen (Jessica Keebler), of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Debbie Hunter, of Evansville, IN; sisters-in-law, Judy St. John, of Indianapolis, IN, and Terri Buck (Fred), of St. Louis, MO; brothers-in-law, Steve Sorensen (Cheryl), of London, KY, Jimmy Sorensen (Lisa), of Earlington, KY and Leo Sorensen (Tammy), of Evansville, IN; several nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, David "Nubs" Cleveland; and a nephew, Jason Hunter.
A celebration of Patty's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 E. Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711.
Friends may visit from 11 p.m. until service time on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Browning Funeral Home.
