Julia "Julie" Ann (Hall) Perry
Julia "Julie" Ann (Hall) Perry was born January 6, 1960 to James M. and Mary L. (Horstmann) Hall in Evansville, IN. When she was brought home from the hospital to meet her 3 older siblings, her sister Linda asked "Can't you take that one back and get us a puppy"? Julie was fearless and a bit of a daredevil when she was little. When most kids her age were riding tricycles, Julie kept commandeering the big kid's 26" bike even though she had to look under the handlebars to ride it.
Julie's went to school at Evansville Lutheran School. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1978 and later attended Ivy Tech. While she was at Bosse she played clarinet in the marching band.
Julie worked in a variety of positions including office administration, shipping and receiving, retail sales, and bartending, but her favorite and most important position was being a mom to Leigha, Brandon and Justin. In Feb 1995 she met Donnie Perry, the love of her life, and they were married May 1, 1998.
In December, 2011 Julie detected a lump in her breast and her worst fear was recognized. She put up a very valiant fight, even going into remission for several months. Thursday morning June 12th Jules went to sleep and woke up in heaven. There will never be another like her.
Julie is survived by her husband of 17 years, Donald Perry Jr. of Evansville; daughter, Leigha Jo Grubb (partner, Melissa) of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Brandon Grubb and Justin (Tiffani) Grubb of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Jonah Grubb of Evansville; brother, James A. Hall Sr. (Marsha Smith); sisters, Linda Moore, Pam (Gary) Hart, Mary Ellen Hall (Mike Doss) of Evansville; her other sister, Linda Gourdeau of Newburgh; aunt, Edna Mae Wibbeler of Leesburg, FL; uncle, Marshal (Betty) Hall of Evansville; grandsons, Rylan, Chase, Benjamin and Layton; and a whole heap of nieces, nephews and cousins; and all of Donnie's wonderful family who have been so supportive to Julie and to all of us.
