Austine (Bell) Edwards, 82, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born in Evansville on March 21, 1932.
Austine was the co-owner and CEO of Adams Office Machine, in Evansville, with her husband, Buff, retiring in 1989. She had many friends, enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and especially loved her family. She was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ and a past president of the Daughters of the Nile.
Survivors include a daughter, Jackie (David) Underhill, of Evansville; son, Michael Rhymes-Baker, of Evansville; and a stepson, Bob (Terry) Edwards, of Encampment, WY; a sister-in-law, Joan (Jerry) Carnahan, of Evansville; grandchildren, Austin (Jessica) Underhill, Arrick (Anna-Maria) Underhill, Jonathan, Kristin and Becky; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
Austine is preceded in death by her husband, "Buff" Edwards; first husband, Jack Baker; parents, Austin Bell and Libby (Mitchell) Burdick; stepfather, Hank Burdick; and a daughter, Becky Baker.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at Browning Funeral Home 738 E. Diamond Ave., with Rev. Mark Sirnic officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 1 until 5 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Browning Funeral Home with a Daughters of the Nile memorial service at 4 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.
