Steven R. Cissell

Steven R. Cissell, age 65, of Evansville, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 surrounded by his family at the Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center.
Steve had worked in sales for R and H Truck and Trailer, Brake Supply Company and Alvey Scott. He was a 35 year member of the Westside Nut Club, serving as President in 2005; he was also a member St. Agnes Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf and cards and spending time with his family and friends. He was a 1966 graduate of Reitz High School and attended the University of Southern Indiana.
Surviving Steve are his wife of 42 years, Jenny (Austin) Cissell; a daughter, Nikole (Craig) Mayfield of Lexington, KY; son, Dax (Jennifer) Cissell of St. Louis, MO; his mother, Bonnie (Diedrich) Cissell of Evansville; a sister, Carol Cissell of Newburgh and five grandchildren, Andrew and Evan Cissell, Trenton, Whitley and Parker Mayfield.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Angelo Cissell; by a brother, Gary Cissell and a granddaughter, Hailey Lynn Mayfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Rev. David Nunning and Rev. Brian Emmick officiating. Following the funeral mass, all family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life dinner at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 3600 Oak Hill Road.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
