Arthur 'Art' Embry
Evansville, Ind.
Arthur "Art" Embry, 61, of Evansville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 12, 2014. He was born October 12, 1952.
Art was known to have a heart of gold and truly loved spending time with his family. He would go to the moon and back for his children and grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pawpaw. Art was a very giving person and was known for having candy for his grandkids and liked to make people laugh with his jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Paul Embry; and brothers, Lawrence, Dennis, and Steve Embry.
Art is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandy (Mabrey) Embry; daughters, Stacy (Jose) Richardson and Stephanie (Judah) Hebner; son, Derek (Mary) Embry; grandchildren, Hannah, Clay, Bella, Julian, Jaycee, and Harper; sisters, Pam Rigney and Paula Sikes; and, nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Alexander North Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Hebner officiating, and burial in Campground Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3 until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
