Lyida Riley, 90, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.
Lyida was a proud member of the Boonville First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She was a member of the Boonville O.E.S., past Worthy Matron of Loyall, Ky., O.E.S., past President of Warrick County A.A.R.P., member of the Red Hat Society, V.F.W. and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries and former member of the Warrick County Kitchen Band.
Lyida was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Doug Riley; her parents, Jim and Vada Foster; brother, Jesse Foster; and three sisters, Virgie Bell, Minnie Rife and Truby Stiltner.
She is survived by a daughter, Pat Taylor (Roger), of Newburgh; two grandchildren, Mandy Cox (Josh), of Newburgh, and Lisa Butcher (Andy), of Corydon; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Ella Cox and Andrea and Brayden Butcher; two sisters, Eula Stiltner, of Grundy, Va., and Thelma Bostic (Hadley), of Waukegan, Ill.; and a brother, Irvin Foster (Ruth), of Fox Lake, Ill.
The family would like to thank the staff of Deaconess VNA Plus and Charlier Hospice for their compassionate care of Lyida.
Funeral Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Tuesday with a O.E.S. Memorial Service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Lyida may be made to Boonville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
