Henry M. "Mack" Carrico III
Evansville, Indiana
75, of Evansville, IN passed away at 4:45 pm. Friday, August 1, 2014 at his home. He was born December 3, 1938 in Evansville, IN to the late H. Malcolm Carrico, Jr. and Marie (Carrier) Carrico.
Henry M. and Linda L. (Lewis) Carrico were united in marriage on August 15, 1959. Henry served his country from 1962 to 1967 in the United States Army and National Guard. After his army basic training, he attended turret artillery training where he achieved honor student. He retired as an engineer from Indiana Bell Telephone Co. Henry owned and operated his automotive repair shop. He was a member of Evansville Masonic Lessing Lodge No. 464, Evansville York Rite, life member of AT&T Pioneers and N.R.A. He raced motorcycles, stock cars and competed in drag racing. He Enjoyed writing poetry and playing bridge. Henry was an honest and truthful person and a man of many talents.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Lois A. Nordhorn.
He is survived by his wife Linda, with whom he shared life for 55 years, sister, Charlotte Stevens of Sedalia, KY, brother, Richard (Marjorie) Carrico of Lexington, SC, sister-in law, many nieces, nephews and their families.
Linda would like to acknowledge her appreciation to her loving sister, Sue Dorris, and special niece, Linda Wire, for all their support.
The family would like to give special thanks to Gentiva Hospice.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the funeral home with the Reverend Robert A.
Nall officiating.
Entombment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum where the Retired Veteran's Memorial Club will conduct graveside services.
