Doris Hall Obituary
Doris Jean (Mann) Hall
Evansville, Indiana
Doris Jean (Mann) Hall, 85, of Evansville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2014, in the presence of her family at Deaconess Gateway. She was born March 14, 1929, in Mt. Vernon, Indiana.
Doris was truly a living example to us all that it is possible to live a life worthy of our calling. Her journey thru this world was a display of the actions and attitudes that reflect the character of God and His unconditional Love. She was truly patient and kind to everyone she encountered. She did not exhibit envy or pride or arrogance and was one of the rare individuals who actually seemed content in the place that her Creator had given her to live out her life. She was not self-seeking or easily angered and keeping a record of others' wrongs was not in her heart. She was always eager to lay her life down to help others and treated strangers with the same respect at those she knew. She never complained about her pain, but was always empathetic about the suffering of others. Her quiet gentle presence in this world will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She shined like a light in the darkness by bearing the greatest of the fruits of God's Holy Spirit….Love.
Doris was a graduate of Lockyear's Business College. She worked in Business Administration for various companies. Attorney's office, IRS, Podiatrist, etc. but her true preferred profession was that of loving, devoted mother and wife.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Hall and daughter, Deanna Hall.
Doris is survived by: son Jim and wife Laura Hall; daughter Pam and husband Rick Doninger, daughter Debbie and husband Aaron King, and daughter Gina Weihmann; grandchildren, Daniel Doninger, Meghann Herrenbruck, Erik Hall, Christopher King, Jessica King, Tristan Weihmann and Patrick Weihmann; and great grandchildren, Juliana & Grayson Herrenbruck and Lorin Doninger
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Father Bernie Etienne, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the chapel.
