Clifford C. McGuyer
Evansville, Indiana
Clifford McGuyer, 94 of Evansville passed away at 4:20 am, Monday, August 18, 2014at Good Samaritan Home.
Clifford was born February 19, 1920 in Evansville the son of the late Clifford and Leona (Schwartz) McGuyer. He attended Bethel United Church of Christ and was on the worship, pastoral and finance boards. Clifford was Captain of Communications and Indiana Administrator of Region 8 Criminal Justice Planning on the Police Department and retired in 1970. He served in the United States Army as a Master Sergeant in the 3175th Signal Company. Clifford was a member of Reed Lodge #316, Scottish Rite, Amateur Radio Relay League for 62 years, Tri-State Amateur radio society and the Fraternal Order of Police.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 72 years, Dorothy McGuyer of Evansville and brother, Gene C. McGuyer of Evansville.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Joe Schulte officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will perform full military rites. Friends may call from 9am until time of service, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home.
