Susan D. Goodrid
Newburgh, Ind.
Susan D. Goodrid, 67, of Newburgh, passed away at 4:52 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospice.
Susan was born December 23, 1946 in Evansville the daughter of the late Joe and May (Jenkins) Elliott. She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. Susan retired from Landmark Luggage. She was an avid bowler. In 1982 she placed 2nd at the Women's International Bowling Congress' National Tournament. Susan also had a love of the outdoors and enjoyed target practice. Most of all Susan will be remembered for her kindness and loving demeanor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stephen Goodrid, of Newburgh, Ind.; son, Steven Goodrid (Cindy), of Owensboro, Ky.; grandsons, Alex and Matthew Goodrid, of Owensboro, Ky; stepgrandson, Eric Crago (Sachi), of California; great-grandchild, Atticus Goodrid, of Evansville; in-laws, Joe and Debbie Goodrid, of Evansville; cousin, Wanda Houchin (Mike), of Oakland City, Ind.; close friends, Sharon Dietz and Sharon Brizius and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Robert A. Nall officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, Ind.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home and again from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Thursday.
