Lou Cindy (Scherzinger) Garrison, 54, of Evansville, Ind., passed away on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Cindy was born in Evansville, Ind., on November 10, 1959 to the late, Katherine (Mayer) and Robert Scherzinger. She graduated from Central High School in 1978, where she later worked as a "Lunch Lady" in the cafeteria for many years. Cindy enjoyed being outdoors playing washers, fishing, vegetable and flower gardening. She loved everything about going to the beach, especially balcony breakfasts, walking the surf, seafood dinners and nightly sand crab searches with her sons. Cindy was known for her amazing macaroni and cheese that she brought to picnics and holiday dinners. She was also known for cooking pork, kraut and black eyed peas for New Years Day for her family and friends. Cindy liked to watch classic T.V., sci-fi thrillers and loved spending time with her big cat, Reggie.
Cindy is survived by her son, Wyatt Cook (fiancé, Shannon Goldman); grandson, Kaden Garrison; granddaughter, Ariea Cook; sister, Janeece Rohner (David); brothers, Jim (Georgette) Scherzinger and Randy Scherzinger (Cathy Shrewsberry); best friends since high school, Jenny Jones and Jodi Schwartz; good friends, Sherry Garrison and Sandi Hillenbrand.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Shawn Garrison in 2008.
A private memorial service will be held at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711.
