Roger Dale Burlison, 60, of Manitou, Ky., previously of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at his home. He was born August 28, 1949, in Henderson, Ky.
He was a construction worker and a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed visiting Westwood General Baptist Church and restored a few historical homes in Evansville's downtown area. He was proud of his Native American heritage and enjoyed arrowhead hunting and collecting various artifacts.
Roger is survived by his wife of 34 years and caregiver, Connie (Camp) Burlison of Manitou, Ky.; daughters, Sarah Clark, Mariah Burlison, both of Evansville, and Melanie Burlison of Springfield, Ill.; brothers, Charles and Kenneth Burlison, both of Evansville; sister, Debby Danuinas of Eyers Grove, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Duane Allison, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, where military services will be conducted. Friends may visit today from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
