James Claridge Obituary
Evansville, IN — James L. Claridge, 59, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Deaconess. He was born October 10, 1951 in Evansville, IN.
He was the owner of Peoples Pest Control from 1984 to 2003. His favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, and coaching. He enjoyed coaching children's youth basketball and baseball.
James was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Joanne; parents, Velmont and Flo Claridge; sister, Rosemary Stephens.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara A. Becker (Rick) of Evansville; sons, SGT. Christopher J. Claridge, Robert J. Claridge, both of Evansville; twin grandsons, Tyler and Devon Claridge; brother, Velmont Claridge Jr. (Bonnie) of Elberfeld; sister, Velma Laib of Evansville; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. John Hilbert, with burial in Bethlehem UCC Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, April 25, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 4424 Vogel Rd, Evansville, IN 47714

Gosh I grew up with Jimmy. Always thought we were great friends growing up at First Ave. Presby. Going on hayrides at his mom and dads. Even went to a drive-in movie once...just friends. Later, it was always great to see him when he came to "spray" our house. I knew I wouldn't have any bug problems. I think of him quite often and he will be missed. God be with you and keep you in his care.
