David Michael Perigo, 22, of Newburgh, passed away: Friday, September 16, 2011.
David was born May 6, 1989 in Henderson, KY to David P. Perigo and Mary (Luckett) Perigo. He attended Castle High School. David was a free spirit who loved life, cars and music. He was very energetic and outgoing and never met a stranger. David was a fun loving, gentle son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Mary (Luckett) Perigo and David P. Perigo, both of Newburgh; grandparents, Don and Janice Perigo of Newburgh and Margaret Luckett of Henderson, KY; sisters, Catherine Ford and her husband, Greg of Indianapolis, IN and Jennifer C. Cobb of Newburgh and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John M. Luckett, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville. Burial arrangements will be private.
Friends may visit from 4 pm until 8 pm, Tuesday, September 20, 2011 and from 10 am until service time, Wednesday, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.

theres not a day that goes by that i think of you especially when im in town, i heard subs boomin the other day and i looked only to realize that your gone its not right that you were taken from all of us, i miss you so much. i know you watching over all of us i miss and love you. i just wish we could go ride`in one more time and hear that crazy laugh of yours and your crazy jokes. Davey I just got home from the service they had for you. It looked absolutely beautiful..You would of loved it..They had a pack of newports there for you too and your favorite cologne. Davey, I must say that getting a phone call that night, I did not expect to hear what I was told. I still cannot believe you are gone. It hurts so much to know I will never see your smile or hear your laugh. You have always been my kindred spirit! I am so sorry for not reaching out to you when you needed someone. I love you so much! To David's parents - my oldest son was killed just a few short weeks ago. I know how you feel. Lean on the Lord, he WILL get you through this. Accept help from anyone who offers it, because all of the things you have to do will be exhausting. Forgive those who unknowingly say hurtful things. Keep a journal to remember the thoughts and feelings you have during this time - you may read back and see some of the tender mercies the Lord provides.

I cant believe that your gone. You touched so many lives while you were here! Davey, you were truly the highlight of our neighborhood, for about the last 20 years. I remember ur Dad calling home at night & alot of times ur Dad knocking on the door, to see if Davey was here, to only find u sitting at the dinner table with all of us. And the one New Years Eve, sitting round the kitchen table waiting on the countdown, when u quickly kissed my daughter on the cheek. We all got such a laugh out of that for several years to come. We have so many memories, many good and let me say, many COLORFUL!! I sometimes thought our son & you were going to drive us crazy, what one didn't think of the other one did. (Busy Boys) You truly were one of a kind. We did enjoy having you around, you were like one of our. family. I didn't know you well, even though we'd met a few times at Laura and Casey's house. I instantly knew you were a great person with a huge heart and smile. Laura thought of you as her best friend, and that brought a sense of peace to me, to know she had such a good person for a best friend. I remember the first and only time we met. It was at our family reunion at Scales lake. There were so many people there that I learned I was family to but I specifically remember you because you followed Whitney Hutson and I around with your visor on backwards.
