Clara Benninghofen Obituary
Evansville, Ind.
Clara Anna (Hartweck) Benninghofen, 96, formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Arlington Care Center in Newark, Ohio. She resided in Ohio since 1956.
She was born March 21, 1916. Her husband of 46 years, Charles E. Benninghofen died in 1979. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Maryann Winterman; son-in-law, Richard Winterman; daughter-in-law, Mythol Benninghofen; grandson, Roy Beames; and four brothers, Herman, Henry, Lawrence and Carl Hartweck.
Surviving are her son, Fred Benninghofen, of Heath, Ohio; daughter, Bertha Bolin and her husband, George, of Tremont City, Ohio; five granddaughters, Cheryl Whitlow, (Mark), of Panama City, Fla., Martha Cooperrider (Forest), of Heath, Ohio, Charlene Young (Bill), Tina Beames, Tracy Shadrick (Tom), all of Evansville; two grandsons, William Benninghofen, of Heath, Ohio, Dr. David Bolin and wife, Kelly, of Raleigh, N.C..; six great-grandsons, Charles Sheley, Eric Young, Tim and Mark Rostorfer, Brandon Shadrick and Kevin Bolin; four great-granddaughters, Abby and Michelle Whitlow, Stephanie Butts and Brittney Shadrick; two great-great-granddaughters; two brothers, Leo Hartweck (Dorothy), of Memphis, TN, and Tony Hartweck, of Evansville; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:45 a.m. Monday October 1, 2012, at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710, and will continue at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 704 N. 1st Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with Fr. Jay Davidson officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Eridia, 2215 Citygate Drive, Columbus, OH 43219.
